THE COUNTRY PIE

Thinking back over my time as lead guitarist for The Country Pie, I have many things for which to be appreciative. We were booked a minimum of eight gigs a week, and I was working with Jimmy Rose who had a big influence on the develpoment of my professional musical career.

I purchased my first car to be able to transport my equipment around to all those different venues. That purchase was preceded by driving instruction and passing the English driving test which is no small feat.

During that period I was gaining a level of recognition in the London area. Recognition not notoriety!

Last but not least, I met the young American tourist at one of those gigs that was to become my wife.
