An accomplished singer/guitarist and writer of songs performs originals from his CD's as well as a vast repertoire of music from the forties, fifties, sixties, seventies, on to the present, spanning multiple genres. Just when you think you have his style pegged, he surprises with a unique twist. The professional music scene in Europe and the U.S. has been his niche for the past few decades. He takes great pride in appealing to diverse audiences while attaining the highest level of professionalism.
By age 15, he was recording in Decca Studios in London. He continued to gain experience through the years in Cabaret, Musical Stage Productions, an Irish Show Band, a Country Rock Band and a Las Vegas Show Band. Music has always been the backdrop of his life.
Growing up on the far Northwest coast of England, he experienced a unique view of life. He learned the dangers and trials of trawler fishing from fishermen around the home hearth. It is from his heart and soul that he writes of these men and the places and events remembered from those times in his first solo CD, Fishermen of Fleetwood.
Being attracted to people and their individual stories, he is enthralled by the unique history of the various geographical regions of the U.S. especially the Southwest and the Southeast. By unlocking the provocative nature of history, Brooks pens songs about people, places, and events...songs capable of breathing life into long forgotten heroes and their special dance with life It is the melding of his songs, his command of the guitar, his ever changing repertoire and his professionalism that allow him to captivate and entertain. He draws in his audience with his exceptional musical talent and his soft accent.
WCON DJ Kathy Nicholson released her new CD with a successful party at The Jaemor Barn. I was honored to help Kathy mark this event by bringing the 1961 Gretsch out of retirement and letting it shine in "Orange Blossum Special.". A memorable comment from another musician, "This is the closest this audience will ever come to hearing Chet Atkins." Thank you sir for the kind words. Compliments are always appreciated.
Enjoyed a delightful Saturday afternoon on the patio at Habersham Winery. You could not ask for a better summer day - cooling Wine Slushies, an appreciative audience and don't forget the music.

The SW Tour was successful in spite of the drama of the Ute Park Fire. Fortunately my friends’ homes were spared. They did have to evacuate both Ute Park & Cimarron. The Ute Park folks had to evacuate twice. The fire danger & the evacuations were difficult to take in.
The Austin area was equally dry with not a drop of rain falling while I was there. “George’s On The Town” was a great new venue, & it was a treat to reconnect with Tom who always booked me at Willie’s place in Carl’s Corner, Texas years ago.
A fun event at the 224 year old March Mill.

Hawaii was a complete change from England and Italy. Heck! It's a complete change from Georgia. The weather was perfect-warm with a cooling ocean breeze. The one brief rain was a very, very fine mist. Never seen anything like it. A friend called it liquid sunshine.
Experienced a wild evening with Kim, Shannon & friends at Rumfire at the Waikiki Sheraton. That evening was a memory maker!
Flight from Atlanta to Houston. Change planes in Houston for the flight to Honolulu. What day is it?
Three Days to unpack and pack for Hawaii. Got to get the grass cut!
The Delta flight from London to Atlanta was very confortable with a bulk head seat and plenty of leg room. I still have difficulty sleeping on flights so that continues to be a problem on really long flights.
While in Tuscany, I have picked up a little Italian from necessity, "caffe con soya." After two weeks of foamy soy milk, I bought a little machine to make my own frothy soy milk at home. Yummy!
Italian clothes appear to fit me very well so I found time to do a little shopping. Flying back to London today.
BA Flight from London Heathrow to Pisa, Italy. I saw the Leaning Tower of Pisa from the airplane window as we made our approach to Pisa. Now I feel like I'm really in Italy.
Had lunch at The Swan in London. They want me to appear there during the September tour, but that will require more planning. It was such fun experiencing all those places I once knew so well. It boosts one's spirit when one continues to be recognized on the street.
Great to see my son and daughter-in-law and spend some time with them. We visited an incredible vegan pub in Canterbury and were given an impressive tour of the old city
